The Great Smokey
Mountains National Park is a woodland, wildlife
sanctuary. The fog rising through the trees gave this
section of the Appalachian mountain range it's name.
Cumberland Falls is located in Daniel Boone National
Forest just below Corbin, Kentucky. Known as the
"Niagara of the South" the waterfall forms a 125 foot
wide curtain that plunges 60 feet into the gorge below.
Located
in Tennessee, this unspoiled forest is similar to what
the early settlers experienced. Autumn's pageantry of
colors usually peak around mid October.
The
mist from the falls creates a unique phenomenon called a
moonbow. Moonbows are only visible on clear nights when
the moon is full. The surrounding forest is a haven for
wildlife, flora, and fauna
